I talk to a lot of individuals who struggle with staying in the moment. Stress, anxiety and depression can quickly take us out of the moment, only to realize that we have missed time. Following this grounding technique can allow you to reset and be present in your body and life.
Starting by taking a deep breathe in and letting it go.
Notice 5 things that you can see in the physical space around you.
Notice 4 things that you can physically feel, avoid things that you feel in your body and focus on things like your feet on the floor or you body in a chair.
Notice 3 Things that you can hear.
Notice 2 things that you can smell.
Notice 1 thing that you can taste.
